Introduction

We are relatively new to the Model A world having purchased our first just over a year ago, but we aren't new to Online Sales. During eBay's early years we were pioneers in establishing "Brick and Mortar" stores to help non-technical people harness the power of online marketplaces.

Since that time we've worked with individuals and organizations of all sizes in a wide variety of capacities, with the underlying goal to make technology easy and available.

The Challenge

We've learned the Model A Hobby faces some unique challenges in it's supply chain.

New parts are harder to find, are sometimes of questionable quality and more and more are simply not being produced anymore.

Used parts are often sitting in a garage waiting for the currently installed one to break, or are left over from a previous vehicle or restoration. Raise your hand if you have more than one of something for a Model A that won't fit your current car! Yeah - We thought so.

The reality also is that a significant number of enthusiasts are aging out of the hobby and unfortunately taking decades of acquired knowledge with them. (See our blog for more of our thoughts on this).

The Future

Our goal is to provide an easy to use platform for companies or individuals to make their useable or rebuildable spare parts available to others.

We also want to promote the hobby and give back it. Our giving focus is on youth activities to bring younger people into the hobby and to enable the transfer of knowledge from seasoned members to the next generation
